Glanbrook was a rural township of about 10,000 inhabitants south of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, with which it was amalgamated in 2001.

Glanbrook was wholly located on the Niagara Escarpment. It typically suffered from heavier snowfall in the winter and consequently greater runoff in the summer. Although it appeared relatively flat to the naked eye, it sat on the height of land so that the northern portion ultimately drained into Lake Ontario and the southern portion drained into Lake Erie.

As its township status implies, it was dotted with several small settlements, hamlets and crossroads. The largest of these—Mount Hope and Binbrook, the hubs of the two townships which amalgamated in 1974 to form Glanbrook—had a sense of local identity that did not extend to the merged township as a whole. Mount Hope is the location of Hamilton’s international airport, which provides a strong link with its past and future.

The population of Glanbrook as of the 2006 census was 15,293, a 25% increase from the 2001 census figure of 12,145, and making it the fastest growing part of Hamilton.
